Our Mission

Adad is a UAE‑focused website that helps residents make everyday decisions with clear, reliable tools. We build practical calculators and guides so you can quickly estimate costs, plan better, and verify information with official sources.

Living in the UAE means navigating a unique set of systems — from visa sponsorship and government fees to utility bills and Islamic observances. We created Adad because we experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to find accurate, up-to-date information about costs and procedures. Our goal is to save you time, reduce confusion, and help you make informed decisions with confidence.

Why We Built Adad

When we first moved to the UAE, we spent hours searching for answers to basic questions: How much will a family visa cost? What are the DEWA electricity slabs? How is gratuity calculated? The information was scattered across multiple government websites, forums, and outdated blog posts.

We built Adad to be the resource we wished we had — a single, reliable place where UAE residents can find practical tools and clear explanations. Every calculator is designed with real-world use cases in mind, and every guide is written to answer the questions people actually ask.

Our Approach

We believe in transparency and accuracy. Our calculators use official government fee structures where available, and we update them regularly as rates change. When we provide estimates, we clearly explain the assumptions and recommend verifying with official sources for your specific situation.

We also believe in accessibility. Our tools work in multiple languages commonly spoken in the UAE, including English and Arabic. We design for mobile-first because most people access information on their phones. And we keep the interface clean and fast because your time matters.

What We Offer

  • Visa & Government Fees: Transparent cost breakdowns to help you plan. Always verify with GDRFA/ICA before proceeding.
  • Utilities & Daily Life: DEWA bill estimates, fuel prices snapshots, Dubai Metro/Bus/Taxi fare estimates.
  • Islamic Tools: Prayer times for UAE cities, Qibla direction, Hijri date converter, and Zakat calculator.
  • Work & Finance: Gratuity (end‑of‑service) calculator, exchange rates overview, and UAE market snapshots.
  • Guides & Blog: Step‑by‑step explainers for popular topics used by UAE residents.

How We Work

  • Independent: We are not affiliated with UAE government entities or utilities unless explicitly stated.
  • Sources: We use public information and official announcements where available. Figures can change without notice.
  • Estimates: All calculators provide informational estimates only and may not reflect your exact case.
  • Verify: Always verify important decisions with official sources or qualified professionals.
