AED to INR today.
Live UAE Dirham to Indian Rupee rate. Includes mid-market reference and typical UAE remittance house spreads. The largest AED-INR remittance corridor in the world.
The AED to INR rate floats with the AED-USD peg (3.6725 fixed) and the USD-INR rate. The live mid-market reference is shown on the main ADAD exchange tracker. Remittance houses (Al Ansari, Lulu, Sharaf, UAE Exchange, Joyalukkas) typically pay INR 0.5 to INR 2 below mid-market per AED, plus a fixed transfer fee of AED 15 to AED 25. Higher remittance amounts get tighter spreads.
AED to INR is the largest remittance corridor in the world by volume, which is why UAE houses quote it with the tightest spreads of any pair (as low as INR 0.3 below mid-market above AED 5,000). Credits land via NEFT or IMPS in minutes, and inward remittances are generally not taxed as income in India, though FEMA reporting applies above INR 10 lakh per year.

Why the AED-INR rate moves
The AED is pegged to the USD at 3.6725 (fixed by the UAE Central Bank since 1997). All AED-INR movement therefore comes from the USD-INR rate, which floats. When the rupee weakens against the USD, you get more INR per AED. When the rupee strengthens, you get fewer INR per AED.
Practically: 1 AED equals roughly USD 0.27225. To compute AED to INR, multiply 0.27225 by the live USD-INR rate. The result is the mid-market reference before any remittance house spread or fee.

Remittances received by residents of India are generally not taxable as income, but may attract scrutiny under FEMA. Always declare the source. Consult a tax adviser for amounts above INR 10 lakh per year.
